The Beta is heating up, and it's time to add some real strategic depth: the Secure Vault. This new building locks down your resources permanently. Even if you get raided into oblivion, you'll still have the reserves to rebuild and strike back.
Starting now, anything in the Vault is untouchable. This change stabilizes the economy and lets you focus on long-term goals like research and fleet production without worrying about losing everything overnight.
Meta Shifts: Trading and Shipyards
I've tweaked the economy and military balance to reward specialized playstyles. The Trading Outpost got a rework with a new progression system:
- Outpost Level 1: Unlocks Black Market offers.
- Outpost Level 9: Unlocks Smuggler's Den.
- Outpost Level 12: Online Trading Convoys, now with a bigger impact on market prices.
- Shipyard Level 15: Now required for Cruisers, making the jump from light interceptors to capital ships feel much smoother.
The Architect Milestone is Still Open
The competition is fierce, but the biggest prize is still out there. In fact, no one has hit the milestone yet. To shake things up, I'm lowering the requirement.
Target: Command Center Level 20
The first 10 players to hit CC 20 secure a Permanent Second Building Slot for the Global Launch. This is a massive permanent boost you won't get another shot at.
Patch Highlights (v0.9.61 - v0.9.64)
- Trading Station Cycle: Tweaked to 4 days and 21 hours so dominance rotates across different time zones.
- Secret Base Intel: The Portal now shows exactly when the next coordinate broadcast drops.
- Tactical Alerts: You'll get an immediate report if an enemy Scout is inbound.
- Stability Fixes: Shield reactivation and Research cancellation issues are fixed.
